2016 Aspect Property Consultants Buddy Shoot

17/07/2016

The annual Aspect Property Consultants buddy shoot was held on a fine winters day with a roll up of 44 shooters, 11 of the shooters were new to the club and the sport and it was great to see 3 juniors having a go for the first time.

The range layout was set by Ben Hooper and a group of helpers on Saturday with some fine tuning for the wind completed on Sunday morning.

New shooters were exposed to a wide variety of clay target presentation with a combination of slow and fast high crosser's, left and right driven targets, fast and slow rabbits, incoming and outgoing targets. The range setters got the brief spot on in showing what targets we encounter in our sport.

What was also demonstrated on the day is how safe and enjoyable our sport is for all who participate. The quote of the day from one new shooter was with the biggest grin "why have I not done this before, it is so much fun".

We even had our own mini eco-warrior with Kody McGrath finding a lizard and moving it to a safer location instead of someones gun bag (pictured)

Lunch was included in the days nominations and again the unsung heroines of our club "our ladies" cooked a winters delight of hot crock-pot's catering for all tastes from mild to spicy, Min's curried sausages were a treat and with a selection of bread rolls to mop up the juices it was difficult for some and particulary me to head out again after lunch.
